For as long as I can remember, I have been wanting to visit the Grand Canyon. It seemed to be this large, magical place where you could see the true beauty of nature.

When I moved to California in 2018, I knew that I would one day have to make a trip out to the Grand Canyon and in November of 2019, I was able to do just that and it was an amazing experience.

I ended up taking a Road Trip from Rancho Cucamonga, CA to just outside the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in Williams, AZ where I got to do another thing that I have never done before and always wanted to do: stay in a YURT! (You can find the exact Yurt I stayed at HERE!)

One of my dear friends, Nancy and I made the 6+ hour drive on Saturday and got there just in time to see the sunset set over our Yurt. The following day, we spent hours and hours walking along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and marveling at it’s beauty. It was definitely one of the most beautiful experiences of my life and I can’t wait for the day that I get to see it again.

It was everything I expected it to be and more. Our planet is so damn beautiful and we need to take better care of it.

This trip allowed so much time for self-reflection. When I’m feeling like I’m in a funk—which happens more times than I’d like—traveling and connecting with nature are the only things that can ground me.

I was able to express gratitude for all of the amazing things that had happened to me in life thus far. I was able to connecting with Mother Earth and put my goals + wishes out into the Universe. I was able to connect with myself and get to know my friend even more.

It was an experience that I’ll never forget.

10/10 would recommend.
