I started my business in April 2019. Well, I think I should say that I started *a* business in April 2019, because what I created then was very different from what I have now.

My business has taken lots of twists and turns and pivots since then. I started off as a Life Coach, didn’t enjoy that so I moved along. I transitioned into being a Social Media Manager + helping people brand their businesses. That stayed consistent for a bit (and I still do a lot of that today!), but I wanted something more. Something that was more challenging.

So I became a Virtual Assistant. I got to see the ins and outs of a lot of different businesses, do things that brought me genuine joy like getting this organized, and helping other businesses’ grow.

From there, I still wanted MORE so I became an Online Business Manager. If I’m honest, there are still a lot of people that don’t know what I do — family included. It’s essentially this: I help entrepreneurs get organized and make their business as efficient as possible. I get to nerd out over things like systems and tools and standard operating procedures and really document everything that makes a business run.

I’ve been doing this for almost two years now and I love it so much. I get to work with so many amazing people and have really discovered a passion for working with speakers and consultants specifically. Especially those doing leadership or diversity, equity, and inclusion work. It combines two areas that I’m very passionate about and I get to do something I’m really good at.

A lot has happened in these three years. I quit my 9-5 and became a full time entrepreneur. I launched my first course teaching other folks on how to become Virtual Assistants and Online Business Managers. I hit six-figures, twice. I’ve worked with over 40 entrepreneurs and have created community in many different ways.

I’ve also spent a lot of time doubting, struggling with anxiety + depression, overcoming imposter syndrome, feeling like a failure, and burnt out.

While it has been incredibly difficult, it has also been so incredibly rewarding. I get to live my dream life of waking up usually when I want, I’ve had time to prioritize my mental health, travel, pay off credit card debt, and so much more.

I am endlessly grateful for everything that I’ve learned about myself and my business these last three years. I’m excited to see what the next three years will look like and giving myself permission to always follow what feels right.
